If you live and game outside of the Spiral, you may not have noticed that Wizard101 just celebrated its 12th anniversary this year. And despite the game entering its formative years, KingsIsle’s MMO is going pretty strong. So strong, in fact, that it just warranted its own documentary that will be debuting next month on Amazon Prime.
“As a late birthday gift for Wizard101’s 12th anniversary, we’re announcing a new Wizard101 documentary series coming to Amazon Prime on October 25th,” announced filmmaker Nathan Agin. “It’ll be a nostalgic rollercoaster for old players from 2008, as well as current players who stuck with the game all these years.”
Meanwhile, Lead Producer Leah Ruben posted a hefty producer’s letter this week that gave a glimpse of what the team is working on for the rest of 2020. Ruben said that the team tries to balance between the four Bartle types in its updates and is dedicated to keep the game “running smoothly for a long time to come.”
And if you’re thinking of starting out in Wizard101, well, you won’t be alone. “How many new people can be starting a 12-year-old game, you may ask? The answer is a LOT more than you might think,” said Ruben.
