When you look at the high risk of making and running MMORPG, a reasonable question arises: Why would any studio undertake such a project? Elder Scrolls Online has a good answer for this, as ZeniMax’s game has generated literally billions of dollars in its lifetime.

This news comes from GDC, where ZOS Game Director Matt Firor announced that ESO recently crossed the line of $2 billion in “customer spend” in the past decade.  That’s a number that’s ready to climb even higher when the Gold Road expansion arrives in June.

It’s also time once against for Elder Scrolls Online to welcome back its Jester’s Fester…val for April Fools’ Day. The event takes place from March 28th through April 4th, during which players can participate in daily events to earn prizes and enjoy a 100% XP buff. There’s a new Jester’s Seeker Suit outfit style page added to the mix this year.
