Bracing cold winds. Flurries of steel. Crashing waves. No, it’s not a word painting for my newest superhero OC (please don’t steal); it’s Diablo Immortal’s newest Tempest class, which is headed for the mobile OARPG on Thursday, May 23rd.
“In a time of ever-growing danger for the world of Sanctuary, mysterious wanderers have sailed from the frigid mists of the north to push back the darkness that surrounds us. These agile, dual blade-wielding warriors harness the fury of the storm, and crash upon their enemies with wind and waves. Will you become one of them? Or will you fight alongside them?”
Blizzard and NetEase say they’ll share more information (as opposed to flowery descriptions) will be shared soon, but players can otherwise get themselves prepared for the Tempest class with a brief teaser trailer waiting below.
Speaking of preparing for the Tempest, DI’s latest patch has packed in a Swirling Winds limited-time event that starts on May 16th, which will grant players over level 30 a preview of the game’s next update. The patch has otherwise kicked off Season 2 of its Tower War PvP event, added new weekly quests that begin on May 17th, rerun several previous events, and applied balance adjustments to multiple classes.
