Whether or not you care about the themes of Overwatch 2’s upcoming Season 13, game director Aaron Keller hopes you care about balance changes because there are a lot of them coming with the update, starting with changes to Sombra to make her more lethal while also shortening her time in stealth. Sojourn is also getting a handier Railgun, while Juno sees slightly more fall-off from range for her healing abilities. She’s just a bit too good right now, you see.
The next season will also see changes to how matchmaking works for players in the Tank role, and more consideration for how to rank people who are queued up as a group (there’s a pretty significant advantage there, after all). Check out all of the changes coming in the full letter from the director; even if you’re not into the skins being added, maybe the balance changes will still entice you into the game.
