Throne and Liberty’s first real patch ends free server transfers, opens dungeon matchmaking

If you’re waking up on Thursday, then welcome to patch day in Throne and Liberty. The servers went offline at 1:30 a.m. EDT this morning and are already back. The update isn’t a big one; the best addition is the new dungeon matchmaking tool.

“Team up with other players to conquer random dungeons through a new matchmaking option,” Amazon says.

“A new matchmaking option will allow players to join a randomized dungeon from all available options and more easily fill groups. Players could previously only queue for specific dungeons. Increased the bonus HP and Damage buff applied when matchmaking dungeon groups from 5% to 10%. Adjusted matchmaking logic to attempt to form groups of similar power progression more consistently. Party members can no longer be kicked from the party during active boss encounters.”

We also spy a new wait time for character deletion, a new 30-day cooldown on server transfers, no more free transfers, improved rewards for dynamic events, tweaks for guild leadership transfer, and a range of UI and localization touch-ups.

Amusingly, there’s a deluge of replies on social media demanding to know where the Halloween event is, so yep, MMORPG players have their priorities set.

Finally, the devs have kicked off a new video series, Eye on Solisium – which is going to look a little bit familiar to Lost Ark fans of Eye on Arkesia.
