Over the past few years, we’ve been covering the progress of Npixel’s mobile and PC MMO Gran Saga, which made its debut in South Korea in 2021, followed a couple of years later by grand designs for its global release in 2024. This month saw those plans come to fruition as the MMO made its way to mobile and PC storefronts.
The launch of the game kicked off at the beginning of this month with an early access release, which was beleaguered by some login issues, payment problems, and some platform-specific requirement oddness.
A week later, Gran Saga made its full launch across all platforms, which so far appears to be garnering some mixed reaction from gamers: Mobile reviews appear to be more effusive, while Steam users are much less kind, complaining about autoplay features, a weird admin access requirement, gacha monetization, and a proliferation of bots for what’s being classed as a sloppy mobile port.
