‘We own our shortcomings’: Old School RuneScape solicits support feedback from players

“Your experience in Old School RuneScape matters deeply to us, and we know that includes getting quality support when it’s needed. We own our shortcomings, but even more importantly, we want to earn your trust through action.” Thus opens a new dev blog from Jagex that resolves to improve player support through its own actions and the responses to a survey.

The post outlines earlier initiatives meant to improve player support, including its Jagex Accounts feature for improved security and the restriction of “deathmatching” to limit RMT, but Jagex also admits that it can do better all around. “We haven’t always delivered on everything we’ve promised when it comes to improving player support,” the post admits. “What’s more, we’ve been quiet about it for far too long. That’s on us.”

In order to further help improve player support matters, players are being encouraged to spend about 30 minutes of their time to fill out a survey as a means to directly guide Jagex’s intentions to, as it puts it, “do better.”

As for the game itself, this past weekend saw some lengthy update lists planned and released to the recently launched Leagues V. As one might anticipate, many of these changes are extremely granular, but some of the latest updates include hotfixes for missing character model jaws, erroneous Hunter rumors, echo boss kill times not being displayed, and several relic and mastery issues.
