This week has brought on another way for fans of Once Human to experience their favorite oddball survivalbox on a new platform, as the mobile version went live this past Wednesday as scheduled, but now NetEase is piling it on with some additional promotions for fans, including a contest involving survivalist Ed Stafford.
For those who aren’t familiar, Stafford is an accomplished survival tutor and TV personality whose credits include TV shows for Discovery Channel and Channel Four, as well as feats like being the first to walk the length of the Amazon River and surviving 60 days on a desert island. It’s that survival slant that sees him now advertising for the game and offering a chance for six people the opportunity to win a survival training experience with Stafford himself.
If touching the harshest of grasses doesn’t exactly appeal, there are other things for you, such as a wide assortment of free in-game items for joining in on the mobile launch like legendary gear blueprints, over 1,000 cosmetics, and nearly a dozen rare deviation pets, as well as celebratory Twitch drops. Starry Studio is also cranking out guides for mobile server selection, providing feedback, and help for new and returning players.
As for the game itself, that most recently got a hotfix to address bugs related to disappearing resources, missing or borked UI elements, and incorrect weight calculations, among many other things.
