We’ve already noted how Albion Online’s ninth anniversary is being marked with delicious cake and murderous statues, but no anniversary is complete without a retrospective look. Luckily, Sandbox Interactive likely felt similarly, as it shared a look back at the last year of major updates as part of its wider anniversary celebrations.
Obviously none of this is new, but it does congratulate itself for the last twelve months with good reason, as the sandbox brought its Royal Continent refresh, visual and performance improvements, and its launch on Xbox, all the way through its Keeper Uprising event that’s on until August 31st. As for what’s next? Dragons. Readers will remember that SBI started talking about the summer dragons content back in May. More details are still coming soon™ on that one, apparently, but we do know that dragons won’t be just “another creature [added] to the world” but rather will be incentives for conflict, exploration, and unpredictability.
Meanwhile, the game’s ninth anniversary contest that challenges crafty players with making real-world versions of the MMO’s items is still on until next week, while the game’s most recent patch ramps up Keeper Uprising event loot, adds new region queue updates, adjusts loot distribution rules, and proliferates dynamic spawn rate changes to additional activities, among other updates and fixes.
