Conan Exiles nixes pre-holiday Xbox One patch, says achievements are a go

Move over, snowscapes and festive trees: Conan Exiles is busy with volcanoes and jungles! “Work is progressing on the volcano and jungle we’ve been teasing you with for a couple of months now,” Funcom writes in today’s community newsletter. “You’ve already seen some of them in the recent trailer and we’ll have more to reveal at a later date!” The newsletter also hints at a double experience event coming over the holidays (it starts tomorrow), plus ongoing work on the combat system and achievements.

Do note that while there was a small hotfix for the Steam PC client this morning, there won’t be an Xbox One patch after all.

“Since this is the week before Christmas (and Xbox patches need to go through certification), we don’t have any possibilities to fix things in case they break. We’re going to be sitting on these changes until after the break. The parity patch that will bring Update 32 to Xbox One will be out after the holidays.”

Most recently, Funcom announced a console price hike, a scale-back in launch features, and its actual launch date (May 8th of next year), in addition to continuing efforts toward the full nudity patch and the surprise announcement that the studio’s just seen a major cash injection to handle multiple RPG properties.
