Heroes & Generals update adds Forward Airfield map

Okay, I guess.

Heroes & Generals has Utz! No, not the potato chips. It’s a patch named Utz, after General Willibald Utz of the German forces, and it adds in a new Forward Airfield assault map for players to storm. It’s a different sort of map from what already exists in the game, with a mix of long-range and short-range combat to deal with and three main objectives for players to capture.

Beyond the map, the update adds more realistic soldier movement and makes some tweaks to semi-automatic rifles. You can take a look at the full patch changes on the official site, and there’s a developer walkthrough of the new map in a video just below.

Awesome, I must admit I love this game. When the wife is busy this is my go to game :)

Wish they would do something about the sounds in the game. I mean, when taking damage from another tank it just sounds like somebody’s throwing pebbles at your armor.

Blackomen You don’t even need to hack anymore. Just play Russian and it’s pretty much the same thing. This is one of those ” so much potential” type games that is just wasted because of the developers attitude of always look to the next addition to the game, never look back and fix anything that’s broken.

Woah, mass is taken into consideration when moving your character?!

Does that mean that there will be no more dolphin diving, bunny hopping, and zigzagging?!

This was a fun game for a while, but the completely bugged/broken campaign movement system hurt it. (And they didn’t fix it over the solid year while I was still playing.) But what what put a nail in the coffin was the RAMPANT hacking that went on, and the devs totally denied that hacking even existed in their game. I was proud to download several well-known hacks, install them, then post and link a video showing me using them all. (on an alternate account) After that the devs FINALLY admitted they were idiots, and would address the hacks. They never did though.
