Watch Marvel Heroes’ Ant-Man control insect swarms

If you could control a few million ants to do your bidding, how would you use them? Probably less responsibly than Scott Lang, aka Ant-Man, which is why we’re glad that he has those powers and you do not.

Still, if bugs are your thing, then you can take control as Ant-Man when he comes to Marvel Heroes as the game’s 49th hero tomorrow. Gazillion released a trailer for the pint-sized fighter, showing off his various abilities including shrinking, growing, flying around on an ant, and summoning swarms to pummel foes.

Really, you just have to see him in action to understand, which is why we’ve embedded the trailer for you after the jump.

Just saw the movie today, so I’m extra hyped for this hero to hit. Got high hopes that this’ll be my third hero to 60 (fourth if you count prestige) since the other two are both from recent Marvel movies (Rocket Raccoon after Guardians of the Galaxy, and Scarlet Witch after Avengers Age of Ultron). Personally I’m not a huge comic buff, so the movies really help tie me to characters.
Just wondering which team-up to use with him. Wasp would seem to be the most obvious one, but her powers and stats aren’t the most complimentary. Maybe Arachne…she’s sort of got an insect thing going…

Between the sealed suit, the ability to shrink down to their size, and his ability to control them, I think actually playing as Ant Man is your best bet for avoiding itchy ants. Because you know that the game will be swarming (beat?) with people playing Ant Man once the patch hits live :-P

@SounderSays He only has one—his signature (ironically).

Now that you mention it, that is a bit of a worry for me too. I had that issue with Nightcrawler when I was playing him too…it’s easy enough to lose a melee character in the heat of battle and mess of special effects as it is—adding in teleportation (or shrinking) just makes it that much worse.

I’m glad they’re adding heroes — it’s a sign of a healthy game. But the idea of ants swarming is leaving me feeling kind of itchy. Squirrels are bad enough, but bugs?? Dunno if I can handle this one, and I have all but one or two heroes otherwise.

The sad thing is, if I had ant-swarm powers, I’d probably use the swarm for really mundane things, like getting the ants to bring me a sandwich.

This is why I should never be Ant-Man.

60% of the time it works everytime.  Pretty clever movie tie in line.

I hate the character but he looks pretty fun to play.

I find antman super lame in comics and have never really liked him ( in any form ) but they’ve made his powers look pretty neat. If I didn’t already have a pile of heroes sitting at lvl one I’d be tempted.
