Ex-Destiny composer Martin O’Donnell has prevailed in a lengthy legal battle with developer Bungie. The company must restore O’Donnell’s stock holdings and pay what it owes its former composer under its profit-sharing plan.

O’Donnell, who in addition to writing Destiny’s music, also worked on sound effects, voiceovers, and Bungie’s long-running Halo franchise, was fired by the studio in 2014 over disagreements regarding creative freedoms including the use of a suite called Music of the Spheres that Activision removed from Destiny’s trailer.
