EVE Online player builds a custom control board for the game

Immersive!

No one would argue that keybindings aren’t important, but somehow just hitting X to fire all weapons doesn’t feel as satisfying as, say, a proper control panel. One EVE Online player decided that it wasn’t enough to just press the buttons; he wanted to be fully invested in the feel. So he built his own custom control board for the game, with the most immediately needed functions available at his fingertips.

The finished product has backlighting and LEDs for the buttons with no transistors, along with a handsome slim case. It’s not something you can get your hands on, unfortunately, but it is fun to look at, possibly with a covetous eye.

It’s amazing what peeps on the interenet can pull out of their behinies without any citation or sourcing. I should tell you one day about Ronald Reagan who used to Washington on an elephant named Dumbo sometime. Don’t believe me? I said so on the internet, it must be true. Pigs fly too!
Quincha
I am pretty sure he’s not pulling a Poe’s law on this one.

bardamu1999 Styopa Dad’s an “anti-Islamophobia” rabble rouser.
Sister was ALSO disciplined for (wait for it) a bomb threat at school a few years ago.
“Inventor” son:
– invented, and in fact, built NOTHING.  He took an electronic clock out of its case, and put it in another case.  One that happened to look like a small suitcase.
– was told by his engineering-relevant teacher “ok that’s nice, but don’t show it around” and promptly went directly to his ENGLISH teacher to show it.
– nobody thought it was a bomb; there is a statute against making hoax bomb threats or intimidating people with a hoax bomb; this was what he was specifically arrested for.
– when asked why he brought it to school, he didn’t answer (why?), when asked why he made it, he didn’t answer (why?), and failed to simply tell them that he HAD showed it to his engineering teacher.  So he really wasn’t being cooperative, which was stupid.

As Breitbart put it: “…students have been suspended for gun-shaped Pop Tarts, cap
guns, finger guns, and saying the word gun, among other grave offenses. And we
don’t even need weapons to suspend students anymore: wearing an American flag
at the wrong time or donning a Confederate flag t-shirt will do it.”

Was it ridiculous that they put him in handcuffs?  Yep.  But then, the infamous photo of the teen being arrested by police officers was staged. The officers were going to uncuff him but they were asked by the parents to wait so the sister could take a picture.
And the parents have failed so far to sign the waiver allowing the school to tell their side of the story completely.

Basically, this was a concocted media stunt that you’ve fallen for hook, line, and sinker.

Styopa Your tin foil hat politics are adorable.  In a racist kinda way.  I’m sure the fact that a school and local police handcuffed a young boy and questioned him for bringing something into school 3 of his teachers found non-threatening, while also *not* closing the school at the same time, nor calling in a bomb squad, sounds perfectly legit to you.  But of course it’s not what it seems like.  It never is, eh?

Most parents complain when their children get arrested for suspicious reasons. I guess because they care?
…but anyroads, I am glad no such silliness happened with this project. It looks very useful. <3

ManastuUtakata Good thing his dad isn’t a victimization rabble-rouser, or people might get suspicious it was a troll all along.
