WildStar patches in some economic improvements

It's the economy, stupid!

WildStar offers some robust options for customizing gear in both appearance and stats, but some of those systems were just a bit more pricey than was entirely fair. The latest patch for the game addresses just that by reducing the prices for using dyes as well as the cost of destroying slotted runes. It’s the first part of several promised economy fixes, with others slated to be rolled out in the future.

Other changes with this patch include correction of bugs preventing players from receiving the appropriate Cosmic Rewards and another bug preventing players from getting loot bags from World Bosses. Add in some quality of life fixes and a few crash bugs and you’ve got yourself a nice small patch to make the game just a little bit more fun to play. You can also check out the lore preview for the upcoming Shade’s Eve event if you’re in the mood for a bit more seasonal spice.

usagizero When I came back I tried to use one of the new fancy dyes, it was like 60 or 80g…. and I had 43g… I had a good laugh.

ArtemisiaWS The prices were kind of high end if you’re just starting out. Around 25-30 you generally have enough dosh to dye whatever you like.

Is it possible to dye everything in the game so my eyes stop bleeding? Heh jk. The graphics aren’t for me. Have fun with WS if you’re enjoying it. I’m bowing out.

“reducing the prices for using dyes” I was sold here, even if I have yet to use dyes (changing look too often at low level to bother) and have no idea what prices are, lower dye prices is always a good thing for a fashion whore. :P

pocketdimension They had already lowered dye costs once. It was never really an issue once you got to a higher level, but it can be off-putting for low level players. I think its a bad idea for a cash sink and they should just make the system free.
The rest is just bugs, so an ongoing work in progress.

Happy with the dye change, some of the colours (especially ones you already paid for by having a deluxe edition or loyalty perks) were way off base.

…Weren’t all these changes to thing that have been complained about by the playerbase  almost from the instant the game launched

Thank god about dying prices. That was SO out of line it was insane. I don’t care if dye is rare, expensive, etc, but making the price to dye gear scale like it did really took my enthusiasm for changing looks right out.

Oyjord As am I. The addition of mouse combat and going with a model that doesn’t require a sub fee has made this game one of my go-to games.
