WRUP: I know what I’m doing edition

why is that the picture omg

Here, let me take over. Trust me, I know what I’m doing. Here, what I’m doing right now is grotesquely overstating my competence at a task in order to appear more desirable as a friend or companion. Now what I’m doing is attempting to look knowledgeable while simultaneously realizing just how far over my head I’ve gotten and weighing the social cost of admitting that I’m completely out of my depth with the potential to just charge on regardless.

Having decided that I can’t take the shame of accepting fault, what I’m doing now is flailing at the problem in hopes that I might fix it by luck. Now I’m feigning understanding while actually being surprised, and now I’m trying to dissuade examination by obfuscating the actual problem. Now I’m inviting you to go take part in What Are You Playing rather than examining the fact that my dubious and idiotic overconfidence made everything significantly worse. See? I knew exactly what I was doing.

Andrew Ross (@dengarsw): Pokémon Go is certainly going to happen. The only question is if I’ll be playing alone or with someone. I may pick up Pokemon Moon but it remains to be seen. I did enjoy the demo well enough but after Mario Partying by myself, I’m feeling a little frustrated with my local multiplayer options. Online’s not much better, but I may do Overwatch and/or Heroes of the Storm for the bonuses.

Brianna Royce (@nbrianna, blog): I’m not actually sure what I’ll do this weekend. Guild Wars 2, maybe, since I need to get caught up at some point. Maybe Marvel Heroes as well!

Eliot Lefebvre (@Eliot_Lefebvre, blog): I finished my NaNoWriMo novel this past week (yes, finished, I was ahead of the curve), so I’m finding myself kind of up in the air. Probably have my usual chores to do in Final Fantasy XIV and World of Warcraft, but nothing is lighting me on fire at the moment.

Justin Olivetti (@Sypster, blog): There’s no question for me: I’ll be diving deep into RIFT: Starfall Prophecy with my Blademaster. So far it’s been a fun ride, particularly with the chatty companions that the game gives you.

MJ Guthrie (@MJ_Guthrie, blog): As I am back on my desktop, I am gleefully going to jump into the games without the lag monster nipping at my heels. I am going to spend the bulk of my gaming time in ARK: Survival Evolved, Lord of the Rings Online, and EverQuest II. I need to get to level 100 in EQII soon so I can finally start in on all the content, starting back with Terrors of Thalumbra, which I never completed!

Your turn!
