Still a better holiday stories than most Hallmark movies.

If you like playing Defiance, we can’t blame you for being just a little… on edge about the game. The whole “transmedia synergy” element is gone, and so it’s easy to wonder what’s next for the game. Part of the answer has been posted: Next year, you’re getting a nuclear winter.

It’s an event, you see. What will the event entail? No one knows yet, but the designers are promising that it’s going to be pretty cool.

There’s no doom-and-gloom in the message whatsoever, focused instead on the fact that there’s a lot coming up for the game in 2017 including the fourth anniversary and the aforementioned Nuclear Winter event. It may not be enough to completely ameliorate your nervousness, but perhaps it’s enough to sit back, relax, and enjoy blowing the heck out of hellbugs for the holidays.
