It’s patch day in SMITE, as I remembered this morning when my husband logged in and saw the new “Belly Ache Ymir” skin. Our header above isn’t even big enough to show you the best part: the chocolate chip cookie codpiece. This game.

Anyhoo, Ymir is just one of the Norse gods getting love in today’s patch 4.18, Odyssey: Journey to Asgard, which also introduces new Norse quests and the Norse Conqueror achievement. As part of its ongoing “Project Olympus” overhaul, Hi-Rez is adding random player loadouts, turning off server rollup, and fixing other annoying parts of spectator mode. Check out the patch notes below, and then… hey, who wants an ice cream cone?

In other Hi-Rez news, Hand of the Gods also has a patch out today introducing the Hindu pantheon. We chatted with Hi-Rez all about its upcoming content during PAX West, so take look!

And finally, the studio is hyping its upcoming reality show, The Caster.

“The Caster premiered on Hi-Rez Studios’ Twitch channel September 6, 2017, and a new episode has been released each week. After the show’s eight episodes have aired, voting will open where viewers can support their favorite contestant, with the winner announced on a live results show on November 12 broadcast from Hi-Rez Studios’ esports arena in Alpharetta, Georgia.”
