November is going to be a milestone month for Echtra Games’s upcoming action-RPG Torchlight Frontiers, as the studio has announced that the game’s first closed alpha test will be commencing on Friday, November 16th. According to the official announcement, alpha invites to registered members next week, so if you want a shot at getting in, there’s still time to sign up.

This phase of alpha testing will be primarily serving as a technical test for the game, meaning that testers should expect to be focused on reporting bugs, providing feedback, and trying their absolute best to break the servers in every possible way. As this is Torchlight Frontiers’s first-ever alpha test, things will obviously be rough and subject to plenty of change between now and launch, so there will be an NDA in place that prohibits the “sharing/capturing of visual media such as screenshots, video, and livestreaming.” Those are all the details we’ve got for now, but Echtra promises that “More details about this test and future ones will be revealed in the coming days and months.”
