Elder Scrolls Online is celebrating Morrowind with special drops and sales

Antsy for the launch of Wrathstone? Elder Scrolls Online has an idea: send ya back to Morrowind! No really, it’s all part of the Morrowind Celebration Event, which for some reason is in February. Whatever, we’re here for it. Morrowind is awesome.

“The Morrowind Celebration Event begins on Thursday, February 7 at 10:00AM EST and will run until Monday, February 18 at 10:00AM EST. During this time, as you explore the island of Vvardenfell, you’ll earn double the rewards for certain activities, including double drops from resource nodes (including Jewelry seams, but does not include nodes spawned from Survey Reports and Fishing Holes); double drops from all bosses (including the Halls of Fabrication Trial); [and] double reward boxes from all Daily Quests in the zone.”

ESO players will recall that Morrowind was transformed from a chapter into DLC last year, so it’ll be half off in the cash shop starting Thursday as well, alongside an on-sale collector’s pack bundle that does not include the DLC but does include a bear skin, war horse, dwarven spider, Morag Tong outfit, and PvP taunts. You’ll also be earning event tickets to buy components for evolving your Indrik mount.

Nice, but double exp would have been better, at least for me.

Great for those that need the drops, though. :)

Why? The game is already easy AF as it is…

Maybe you could consider the possibility that the game is not easy AF for everyone?

You must be joking. Everyone can literally faceroll through leveling. They even added disguises for sneak quests so lazy people who aren’t willing to put any effort can walk through the enemy camp, just because they wear a disguise. Before doing that, people actually had to sneak, avoid guards and stuff.. you know, put effort.

The leveling portion of the game is so easy, it’s insulting.

The only “hard” part is veteran dungeons and trials, and the “hardness” comes from your character’s lack of stats, which you remedy by gearing yourself up, which takes quite some time, that’s where the “hardness” in the game is – in late game grinding.

Part of the reason I feel burned out from the game is because leveling is my favorite part of any MMORPG and in ESO it has been made so easy for casuals, that it’s insulting. Back in 2015 when I got the game, it was a bit harder and that was good, now it’s so easy and dumb.

Maybe you can explain to me what part of the game is hard?

I merely asked you to consider that others might not feel the same way as you.

And I was wondering what others could find to be hard in this game. The only hard thing is that it’s a time sink and to beat the game you need to invest time.

It’s not the leveling. That is fine and fun. It is getting through to the cap on Champion Points that could use some help. Sure, getting to the low hundreds is easy enough. But getting through to 800+ still takes a while. Yes, you essentially get a ‘free’ Champion Point every day, but still that is hundreds of days.

Just the way I see it. I am sure that with some other play styles it is easier. :)

I celebrate Morrowind all the time and never needed to earn “event tickets” doing so. 😘

I didn’t spelunk deep enough to find out if XP was “doubled” alongside all the other drops. Anyone else know the answer to this?

There is no mention of bonus XP gain. ZOS would kindly point you to their Crown store if you are interested in that :)
