World of Warcraft doles out deets on upcoming Kul Tiran and Zandalari allied races

I'm on a dinosaur.

Hey guys, remember when Battle for Azeroth launched and everyone was super excited to get their hands on the new Kul Tiran Human and Zandalari Troll allied races? Well, apparently Blizzard did, and it only took them half a year after the expansion’s release to get around to it.

In the official announcement, Blizzard details the new races, their available classes, and their racial abilities, in addition to providing an overview of just how players will go about unlocking them — and it’s no simple task. Players must reach exalted with the Proudmoore Admiralty (for Kul Tirans) or the Zandalari Empire (for the Zandalari, obviously), complete their faction’s war campaign up to the Battle of Dazar’alor, and unlock a bevy of achievements in Zandalar or Kul Tiras. Completing all of these objectives will unlock a quest chain that, upon completion, will unlock the new allied race.

Right now, there’s no exact date set for the update that will introduce the Zandalari and Kul Tirans; when asked about a timeframe in the comments of the announcement, Community Manager Nethaera says simply, “Soon-ish?” But in the meantime, you can check out all the details about the new races over in the official announcement post.

Cancelled the sub over a month ago, the endless grind is far too much with no interesting content and I maybe waning on my excitement for classic after last weeks fiasco.

Currently playing ESO and having a blast and may look at FFXIV next, wow use to be my go to game but playing it and doing the rep grind fills me full of dread, its just not fun and simply the game is a waste of sub money right now, and I dont want my hard earned money going into koticks bonus.

It might just be perception, but that definitely feels more burdensome than the previous unlocks. It feels like they are trying to force people into their ‘underutilized’ aspects to show people “trust us, you are wrong, they really are fun! and to show you how fun, we are going to force you to experience them to unlock this thing that isn’t really related.”

I stopped playing because I got tired of running old content (BfA content had no appeal to me). This doesn’t really entice me to come back.

Odd thing is, Alliance has to complete a dungeon to get their achievement, but Horde do not…

Sadly they chased me away before I got the chance to roll an allied race alt.

What a terrible Expansion. Only Blizzard gets away with putting something you pay for behind a Timewall. Nefarious intentions indeed. Make levelling so unbearable have to pay for their 75 dollar level up to 110. Make all new races and a huge percentage will buy their level up tokens and watch the cash rake in.

They only get away with it because of the dumb gamers that continue to pay them a monthly fee to play their game. If more people quit over this, I guarantee they would water down the requirements or maybe even remove them.

But nope. People will just complain but continue to pay. Why would they change? I sure as hell wouldn’t if I was Blizzard.

The only real reason I bought Grind for Azeroth was these stupid races. But I just have no interest in returning to actually grind to get them as I’ll also have to grind to fly at the same time. It all just grinds my will to play. Blizz certainly has learned how to take the fun things in their game and make them into pure grind.
