RuneScape proposes some adjustments to the Completionist Cape

I don’t pretend to have my fingers on the pulse of the wider RuneScape community, but it would appear that there’s been some discussion regarding the earning and maintaining of the Completionist Cape and Trimmed Completionist Cape (Comp Cape), a pair of potent back items that provides a whole slew of benefits and is only unlocked for finishing literally everything in the game. That sounds like a lot of work to maintain, especially when new content gets added, and so the devs are proposing a few changes.

Firstly, the “Reaper Crew” achievement would be removed as a requirement for earning the regular Comp Cape, and the achievement “How Many Games?” achievement would be removed as a requirement for the Trimmed Comp Cape. Additionally, stats for the Comp Cape would be removed from the item and added as a passive bonus reward for getting the Reaper Crew achieve, while utility benefits like teleports would be permanent player unlocks. A number of other benefits inherited by the Comp Cape from other capes would also potentially be decoupled from the item.

All of this, of course, is still up in the air and the devs are willing to take on feedback. If all of those achievements seem a bit too distant for you, you might be more inclined to check out plans to modernize the Hunter. That seems a lot less work to keep up with if you ask me.
