Wow, has it really been a year since Astroneer released from early access? Oh, hey, look at that, it most certainly has! Naturally, the devs are looking to mark the occasion with a recent patch.
The 1.0 anniversary “surprise” is in there somewhere; details are vague (naturally). For that matter, there aren’t any patch notes for this update at the time of this writing, but the announcement tweet does confirm that this patch will introduce some crash fixes and performance upgrades as well. It also is arriving for all platforms, so no matter where you get your whimsical space sandbox survival, the devs have you covered.
Speaking of making life easier, Astroneer was all about improving quality-of-life and performance in last week’s Steam update as well. Updates made in that patch include hot swap functionality, new air controls, an option to return to shelter from the Quit tab, and a host of optimizations to make things run that much smoother.
Patch 1.9.91.0 has been issued on all platforms. It contains some crash fixes, some performance upgrades, and a special 1.0 anniversary surprise 🥳 🎉🎊 pic.twitter.com/ckxyW5iHeg
