RuneScape is once again back with another week of news bits for its players. This week, there’s some new-look patch notes, reminders of upcoming events like the Double XP Weekend and charity streams, and a little hint about Archaeology.

First, the patch notes, which aren’t too beefy this week but feature a brand new layout to make them feel “less formal” as Jagex puts it. Of course, the details in the notes are interesting as well, such as a couple of small tweaks to the Once Upon a Slime Valentine’s Day quest, the removal of the first two bosses from Elite Dungeons as Reaper assignments, and some adjustments to mining rates which should help semi-active miners. There are some bug fixes in there as well.

The rest of this week’s update alerts players to the upcoming Double XP Weekend Extended, which runs between February 21st and March 2nd. It also confirms that more information about Archaeology will be coming soon, as players have reportedly been “sniffing around the dig site, poring over the Archaeology Journals, and digging for clues.” Finally, the annual Game Blast charity streaming effort is coming back this weekend, with 20 content creators helping to raise money for SpecialEffect.
