Even with a change in leadership, EverQuest is roaring right into its 21st birthday this month. To celebrate Daybreak has turned on a 50% XP boost for the remainder of the month, added two player-designed anniversary quests, and handed out free level 85 boosts to all subscribers.
The studio also announced a pair of new progression servers coming to the game: “Please put your hands, paws, and claws together for Aradune and Rizlona! Aradune is a new concept for our Truebox server rule set. It’s going to have similarities to Mangler’s rule set in terms of XP, era locking, and a lot more. Rizlona will also share the Mangler rule set and be our first boxing progression server in a long time.”
Finally, server merges are on the way, with four shards tapped to be folded into other servers.
