You might have forgotten about Bless Unleashed’s recent launch, what with the world being aflame right now, but its launch, along with the release of PSO2’s beta, have been two of the best things console MMO players have had to look forward to all month. It’s been on the quiet side since its official release, but today, Bandai Namco and Neowiz – well, actually the press release doesn’t so much as mention Neowiz – dropped a new trailer centered on the game’s combo-based combat system.
“Combat is a key feature in Bless Unleashed, and with a unique combo system, players can dive deep into making their character unleash devastating attacks and powerful blessings,” the publisher writes. MMO fans, there’s a bit of shade in the video for you, as the narrator talks up Bless’ systems by… putting down the rest of the genre. “Designed specifically for console, combat is a richer and more immersive experience than a typical tab-targeting MMO,” the video says. Of course, even typical tab-targeting MMOs have had combo systems for decades, and most of the combos and special blessings will seem pretty familiar to players, whether they’re accustomed to the mouse and keyboard or more controller, but hey. Video.
