Might as well jump.

Technically speaking, Phantasy Star Online 2 is currently still in beta testing, but since it’s an open beta test it’s close enough to “launch” for all intents and purposes. However, it’s noteworthy because the game did also have a closed beta, and there were rewards promised for players who took on urgent missions within that closed beta. And good news for the participants: those rewards are being distributed as of today.

Players will gain greater rewards for each Urgent Mission completed up to 4, with all reward packages including a boost item and the cosmetic rewards ranging from specialized halos around your character to a skin to turn your personal mag into a little floating Dreamcast. (The first Phantasy Star Online was on the Dreamcast, you see.) If you didn’t already take care of this it is too late to jump in now, of course, but you can still enjoy the fruits of your labors from the closed beta.
