Blade & Soul’s Cosmic Horizon update goes live today — here are the patch notes

It’s time for the Lyn to unleash star-powered hell on the foes of the Earthen Realm. This isn’t the only thing that’s been added with the launch of today’s Cosmic Horizon update to Blade & Soul, but it’s certainly among the top items in the recently released patch notes and update overview.

The overview hearkens back to update details shared over the past few days including the release of the Astromancer class, the new talisman tier, a harder version of the Naryu Sanctum dungeon, a host of new items, item changes, and system updates, and a couple of new events.

The patch notes also break down more specific adjustments like improved item drop chances in a variety of dungeons, cooldown changes on a few of the game’s Charms, changes to several Act XI quests, and the renewal of the level 60 boost voucher among other things. The notes are pretty dense with information and spreadsheets, but it’s likely worth a look for those deep in the game. Or you can just dash off to make your Astromancer.

Update
And it’s live now!

The pigtails have already rolled one to lv 12…

First thing too notice is the weapon also acts as non-combat pet that follows you around and photobombs cutscenes.

2nd thing, both left and right mouse buttons are resource generators…which is usually is just reserved for the left mouse button in this game. I guess they want you to use them in tandem for most effective pwnage.

Thirdly, the the 1 button shield acts as a damage spell, very much like the Wardens version.

And finally, male Lyns do have access to this class. Unlike it was claimed here before that only females had access to them. (I think someone was getting them sorely mixed up with the Elin from TERA. Different thing!)

…all in all, they look like a fun class for those who don’t mind rolling small Furries. o.O

Starting mine this weekend. So I’ll have some catching up to do. I like that they are changing the button sequences and double resource buttons on left and right mouse buttons sounds like there is going to be some intense resource abilities. And that is not a bad thing as that usually means big freaking damage skills.

As we talked about earlier. Some of this update is a disappointment as it mainly benefits grinders. But a new class is always welcome!

Just to note: Button #2 is a weird one. It gived you a huge ass cube over your head with pretty special effects…but I am not sure what it supposed to do. It doesn’t appear to be anything offensive or defensive. And brother Hajoon doesn’t say anything about it before he croaks off. So… >.<
