Halloween festivities in GTAO, MapleStory, Aion, and Star Stable, plus a Halloween makeup collab in Elvenar

Yes really

We’ll have our complete Halloween roundup ready next week, but in the meantime, we have some spoopy events you might not want to miss out on. Let’s roll:

MapleStory: Maplers will return to the Prendergast Toy Company’s mansion headquarters as Trick or Treat is live in the game as of this week. Players will be heading through five episodes of the questline in the hopes up picking special damage effects, a Halloween ghost mount, cute cosmetics, and the haunted mansion chair.

Aion: The Pumpkin King has returned to the North American version of Aion. He’s really more like the pumpkin thief, if we’re honest.

“It falls upon you, brave Daeva, to find these Stolen Pumpkins across Atreia and return them to Esta in exchange for riches & rewards. But how to recover these pumpkins you ask? By defeating The Great Pumpkin King! But this task is no trivial matter, for The Great Pumpkin King can only be harmed by a rare, unique item: Candy Blasts! Your duty then is to obtain candy blasts, find and defeat the squash sovereign, and claim your rewards. Now let’s get into the details so you can establish your battle plans before the event goes live on Wednesday!”

Star Stable: Look, even horsies like Halloween. Through November 4th, Star Stable has added new ruins to explore, races, magical horses, a haunted trail ride, a haunted castle ghost train (!), themed shops, spooky pets, and even a storage pumpkin. The Halloweeny horses are legitimately adorable. (Thanks, Elenie! <3)

GTAO: Halloween is back in Rockstar’s criming MMO, with bonus GTA, the return of peyote plants (so wholesome and natural), freebie cosmetics, sales, and of course, themed content. “As Halloween inches ever closer, slip into your most frightful attire, sharpen your Machete, and head underground to make the most of Triple Rewards in the subterranean Halloween Bunker Series. Featuring a trio of gruesome Slasher maps set in the depths of the bunker, silo and The Diamond, this series is delivering 3X GTA$ and RP.”

Elvenar: Finally, MMORTS Elvenar has a big collaboration with none other than MAC Cosmetics, which for those of you who don’t know is a huge international makeup brand. This definitely belongs on our weird-and-unusual list for the year.

“The changing of the leaves signals the return of fall in the world of Elvenar and the beginning of this year’s new Halloween event. From today through November 11 players will celebrate this spooky season by completing a line of quests and daily tasks in exchange for new items and rewards. Through Elvenar’s collaboration with M·A·C Cosmetics, players will also be eligible to win additional prizes, conjure up their own Halloween look and select from new in-game avatars inspired by makeup looks from three outstanding content creators. With diversity at the core of this collaboration, all are welcome and there are no limits to the imagination this Halloween.”

Now that’s transmedia synergy.
