The new year is almost here, and World of Warcraft intends to celebrate the way that it’s always celebrated, with a lot of drunken guards. No, really, there is a minor New Year event, mostly notable for sleeping guards that make PvP a bit more accessible in places usually patrolled more actively. Still, if you want to ring in the new year with a bit of drunken revelry, it’s not a bad place to get your socially distanced antics in without fear of physical contact.
Of course, there are other events happening this weekend as well, which wind up colliding rather nicely with the event. Wrath of the Lich King timewalking has already started, meaning that you can ring in the new year by exploring old dungeons from a prior year for more current rewards. The Darkmoon Faire is also coming around on Sunday, offering its usual collection of minigames and useful buffs to all. So if you want to mark the new year with some classic content, this is your weekend.
