RaiderZ’s Reboot promises zone revamps, map optimization, and core storyline

Remember way back 2015 when PWE shut down RaiderZ? The tragedy didn’t last long, as the original developer Masangsoft waited only until 2017 to announce it was reviving the MMO. Better than reviving, actually; it was planning a whole reboot, with a full rework on the game to bring it up to speed with modern titles and platforms.

But it’s now been years of development as we’re at the top of 2021 now. We saw just a handful of updates from the team last year, with October setting the stage for alpha test plans, though beyond the fact that there will be an alpha test, little else was revealed.

Yesterday, the studio revived its comms again. In a Facebook post for players, it noted that it’s optimizing the game map to solve memory strain, developing what sounds like a core storyline, dividing some areas into instances with different difficulty levels, and reorganizing active and passive skills. There’s also a new development video on offer, showing off the revamp of the Great Wall, Broken Mast, and Pirate Cave areas with before and after footage.
