The Daily Grind: Has a pirate MMO ever appealed to you?

With Ubisoft’s long-delayed Skull and Bones finally arriving this November, gamers will enjoy yet another option to get their pirate fix — if, indeed, they want it. After all, the MMO and online RPG field has seen more than its fair share of virtual buccaneers, from Pirates of the Burning Sea to Pirate101 to Sea of Thieves to (of course) Puzzle Pirates.

Considering the plethora of pirate-themed titles at our disposal, the question isn’t whether or not there are games to sate your desire to play a corsair — but rather, whether the genre’s appealed to you in the first place. Has a pirate MMO, any pirate MMO, ever appealed to you? How many of them have you played over the years?
