The Daily Grind: How long is your average MMO gameplay session?

Mine’s one hour, in case you were curious about my situation. On average, I play an MMO for about an hour at a stretch. Every night I get two hours to play, so that’s usually divided up between whatever two titles have my interest that week.

And an hour feels like a good amount of time for me. I can get a whole lot done in that space, especially if I’m focused and not goofing off. A dungeon run, some dailies, regular questing, auction house trading… pretty much anything I want to do that isn’t raiding (which I don’t want to do anyway). It’s actually kind of surprising how much I can accomplish in 60 minutes.

But I’d like to hear from you: On average, how long is your MMO gameplay sessions per game? Do you splurge a lot on long marathons or only have time for bite-sized encounters?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
