The latest patch available for Genshin Impact features a lot of things in its notes, but fans might also see an important piece of detail in the audio section, which outlines updated English voice lines for the character Tighnari. That new voice is being provided by Zachary Gordon, who takes up the role after original voice actor Elliot Gindi was fired.
Readers will remember that Gindi was accused of various forms of sexual misconduct including grooming underage fans, sexual harassment, and abuse. Gindi owned up to unearthed and disseminated chat logs but also claimed he did not know anything about the age of those he made sexual advances to. Regardless, fans and other members of the English cast raised their voices in condemnation of Gindi’s actions, and the actor was removed by Hoyoverse shortly after the allegations arose.
Obviously, there is more in the update than a new voice; it also features a new area, an Akademiya Extravaganza event, additional story content, and the pending arrival of two new characters.
