Yay, something I sort of kind of want I guess?

The Guardians of the Dream is poised to arrive in World of Warcraft at the start of November, and Blizzard is busy promoting the patch’s many features. Among these are four additional hair colors for Blood Elves, a “veritable menagerie” of new Druid shapeshifting forms, and the 8v8 Battleground Blitz Brawl.

“We’ve made some changes to how players will interact with the battlegrounds, leading to a slightly faster pace and new mechanics to utilize as you put yourself — and your team — to the test against your opponents,” Blizzard said. “Like the introduction of Solo Shuffle, the introduction of the Battleground Blitz Brawl could start down the path toward introducing it as a rated mode.”

Another exciting event arriving in November is World of Warcraft’s 19th anniversary. Starting November 16th, this celebration includes a new Azure Worldchiller mount, a Lil’ Frostwing battle pet, and a 19% XP and rep booster. Blizzard is also selling a new 12-month sub package with a variety of pets and mounts.

The studio dropped some hotfixes this week for all three versions of the game that included some death protection for Hardcore travel, an adjustment of level queuing for Wrath Classic’s dungeon finder, and the removal of Blade’s Edge Arena from retail for some work.
