Not every magical door opens into Narnia; in fact, some portals should never be breached. Such is the premise of Once Human, a post-apocalyptic survival shooter that’s currently making its way through the testing process.

And while Once Human is still a bit of a ways out — Q3 2024 is its current target window — some players are checking it out even as we speak. The second closed beta kicked off on December 6th, aiming for around 20,000 players in total on the PC only. A full server wipe will happen when it ends, but such things are to be expected.

This CBT includes some new additions, including a revision of the Necoat continent, “ultra-free construction,” and a random boss named Dakini. Does Dakini wear a bikini when she goes to the pool? Only you can find out!
