DDO releases a free player-designed quest dungeon as LOTRO slashes craft quest cooldowns

Before Dungeons and Dragons Online rings in the new year, this fantasy MMO is determined to make the rest of 2023 as memorable as possible. This started with the newest Hardcore League permadeath server kicking off on December 6th, and the return of Festivult (along with a certain joker…).

Last week’s Update 65 also brought out a free quest dungeon for all that was the result of a PAX East panel on making an instance from scratch. In this dungeon, “a rogue dragon acting unnaturally has been causing chaos in Stormreach, the Agents of Argonessen seek your assistance in helping to contain the Dragon before it can do more damage!”

Meanwhile in sister game Lord of the Rings Online, SSG announced that it is severely reducing the cooldown for the new Umbar craft quest recipes. When introduced to the game earlier this week, the craft recipes had an 18-hour cooldown. Now? It’s down to five minutes apiece. However, as players have pointed out, the quest turn-in is still on the long timer.
