RuneScape is turning 23 years old this year, and if that isn’t an occasion to have a fancy hat, we’re not sure what is. Luckily, a fancy hat is precisely one of the things being handed out during the MMORPG’s Birthday Buff Bonanza event. And as you can see in the header, this hat do be fancy.
Between now and January 21st, players are encouraged to log in every day and engage one of three different selectable buffs that improve skilling, enhance combat, or provide miscellaneous effects. Each activation will fill a bar that moves players closer to the aforementioned fancy hat cosmetic, which comes in one of two styles and both feature pretty much all of the colors.
In addition to impossibly fancy headwear, the latest patch has made some updates to the loot table of the hard mode Vorkath instance. Players can now get themselves a Vorkath scale item drop that will let them enhance their dracolich armor from tier 90 to tier 92 without requiring other enhancement materials. In addition, reward drops for both normal and hard versions are getting some adjustment, which are all laid out in a table in this week’s newsletter.
