Diablo IV’s Sanctuary is already a pretty dangerous place what with all of the demonic threats crawling around it, but as of today its heroes now have to contend with a new threat: murder robots. That means the Season of the Construct is officially live now, bringing with it all of its previously touted features including the new trap-filled vault dungeons, new automaton enemies, and an upgradeable Seneschal robo-buddy of your very own.

The meat and potatoes of the new season were shared in the OARPG’s latest patch notes, which provided granular details about new and adjusted class items and new dungeon rotations for the season, along with more frequent helltides, a rework to sigil and distilled fear rewards for nightmare dungeons, and a wide assortment of item drop adjustments across the board. The link above grants all of the specifics fans could possibly ask for.

“Season of the Construct is now live in Diablo IV! Discover an ancient technology known as the Loom, created by Zoltun Kulle and Ayuzhan of Caldeum long ago. The Demon Malphas has twisted the Loom for nefarious purposes, and you must find a way to defeat him and his deadly constructs. But you won’t do so alone with the new season robotic Seneschal Companion that will fight by your side and can be customized with magical Governing and Tuning Stones to suit your playstyle. Together you can also explore the brand-new dungeons known as Vaults that are filled with Hazards but offer great riches to those who make it to the end.

“The Gauntlet is coming soon in the Season of the Construct for players to compete in a weekly rotating dungeon for the top spot on the leaderboards. More details will be revealed in a future update! This season will also have several quality-of-life updates including Helltides active every hour, W-A-S-D keyboard support, an extra Stash Tab, improvements for reallocating your skill tree, updates to UI when gold trading, and more.”
