Kickstarted critter-collection MMO Temtem is having yet another go at a spin-off title, this one a “bullet-heaven” co-op title called Temtem Swarm.
Readers will recall that Temtem was one of the major MMO Kickstarters of 2018, as Spanish studio Crema Games raised over half a million dollars of player money to finish a “massively multiplayer creature-collection adventure,” which it then brought into early access in 2020 and full launch in September 2022. But the game has limped along a bit since then; last summer, Crema surprise-revealed the standalone PvP-centric Temtem Showdown, which underperformed and closed just last month. Crema defended the game as a way to finance the MMO, which the studio admitted was at that time unsustainable on its then-trajectory.
Well, with Showdown now closed and Palworld exploding, Crema is trying again with Temtem Swarm, “built from the ground up with online 3-player co-op in mind.”

There’s no launch date yet, but Crema does say it’ll release on PC, Steam, and SteamDeck “with plans for future console releases in the works” – credible as Temtem has released on everything except your dishwasher so far.
