When you think about it, “Raging Tides” is an apt description of the unstable flow of Skull and Bones’ gameplay these days. Ubisoft’s pirate simulator got off to a wildly uneven start this past month, with multiple issues and mixed reviews holding this title back. However, it’s not all doom-and-gloom for Skull and Bones, as its first post-launch patch and first gameplay season arrived this week.
Raging Tides’ centerpiece is the struggle against Philippe La Peste and his Fleet of Pestilence. Players are tasked with sinking plaguebringer ships to ultimately smoke out the Plague King himself and earn a few unique rewards.
Season 1 also includes a few new contracts, the Smuggler Pass reward track, and a whole lot of post-launch adjustments and bug fixes.
