Diablo IV’s upcoming loot patch will ‘fundamentally change how you engage with items’

Promising “the biggest update to Diablo IV since its launch,” Blizzard said that Season 4: Loot Reborn will deliver many “evergreen” improvements to core systems in its online ARPG when it arrives on May 14th.

In last night’s preview video and developer livestream, the studio covered why loot is going to feel a lot better with this patch. “We are fundamentally changing how you engage with items, how you upgrade them, and along the way solving […] pain points of our existing item system,” the studio said.

On top of all of the itemization change with Season 4: Loot Reborn, the patch is also focusing on crafting improvements, Helltide updates, more enemies, and an Iron Wolf-themed seasonal questline. This patch will hit both realm versions at the same time.
