Like clockwork, the sandbox MMORPG Monsters & Memories has published its latest progress report for April development, but it first opens with some pretty exciting news for those who are closely following the game: a rough timeline for its next round of testing.

Niche Worlds Cult is eyeing another public playtest for some time at the end of June, with plans for “one or more stress tests between now and then.” Fans who want to hear about details as soon as possible are invited to join the game’s Discord, but for now there are no firm calendar dates yet.

As for the rest of the post, it showcases what the studio characterizes as “a relatively normal production rhythm now that the dust from the Early Access Announcement has settled and the year is truly in full swing,” with a look at work on UI, creatures, character animations, zones, and a wide assortment of assets. Niche Worlds has also collected its 2024 progress in video form if that’s your preferred medium; that retrospective can be watched after the cut.
