Whether you’re an aspiring Necromancer or just like wandering the realms of the dead in RuneScape, it’s time to take on a bigger challenge with the addition of new Hard and Elite Underworld Area Tasks. Previously, these tasks were known as Um Area Tasks, but aside from sounding like the name of the area is right on the tip of your tongue, the name was just less appropriate as these tasks increasingly brought you into a wider realm of the dead. So now they’re Underworld Area Tasks.
The new tasks also go hand-in-hand with new volumes of the Underworld Grimoire, which offer player a variety of buffs from extra necroplasm to extra experience as well as travel, item retrieval, and a larger quantity of bones. It does not specifically give you a small companion made out of bones named Bones McGraw, but the developers have to save something for the future, we suppose. For now, get into the Underworld and finish some tasks, why not?
