Old School RuneScape readies Deadman Armageddon and tweaks its newly returned quest

While Old School RuneScape certainly has things to note in this week’s patch, what’s a bigger deal to Jagex (and likely to a specific sect of players) is what’s in the patch but not available yet. That’s because the Deadman: Armageddon PvP is coming back this Friday, July 19th.

This edition of the two week-long fast-paced PvP mode promises to “[build] on the success of last year’s Deadman: Apocalypse and [amplify] things up to 11,” as it brings four breaches per day, brand-new region breaches, the ability to use Deadman Points on tradeable cosmetics for the main game, and a host of other general adjustments like new breach monsters, prayer tweaks, and revamped loot tables.

As for the patch’s other content, that primarily focuses on making some further requested adjustments to the While Guthrix Sleeps quest that returned last week, which involve tormented demon loot tables, specific enemy behaviors, and a renaming of the Bone Claws weapon to Burning Claws. Incidentally, Jagex also noted a potential adjustment incoming to the Burning Claws due to its over-performance.
