Palworld studio enters partnership to accelerate ‘multifaceted global development’ and expansion

Admittedly, this bit of Palworld news is entering into supposition territory, but considering the language of the announcement, it could mean big things for the survival sandbox and for developer Pocket Pair in general: The studio unveiled the formation of Palworld Entertainment earlier this month, a new joint venture with Pocket Pair, Sony Music Entertainment Japan, and Aniplex “for the purpose of accelerating the multifaceted global development of Palworld and its further expansion.”

A press release elaborates further on this new partnership, claiming that its formation will consolidate domestic and international licensing for the IP (excluding other games), further expand the IP, and “promote new developments” for the survivalbox according to Google Translate. The most immediate benefit of this agreement is the launch of new official merch, but time will tell what this brings later down the line for the game itself.

Meanwhile, Pocket Pair has once again continued its rollout of Pal video showcases, offering vignettes of Mimog, Dazemu, and Xenogard, all of whom appear to have arrived with the survivalbox’s Sakurajima update. The studio also helped support a charity auction broadcast held by Connor “CDawgVA” Colquhoun, which raised over $500k for the Immune Deficiency Foundation.
