Boom!

What does Guild Wars 2 do when it decides to not be a part of PAX West but still wants to do something fun for its playerbase? Why, it holds its own private meetup event, of course!

ArenaNet has confirmed that there will be a get-together in Seattle, Washington, on Friday, August 30th, at Olympic Sculpture Park. This community hang-out event promises an evening of “food, drinks, and giveaways” in honor of the release of the Janthir Wilds expansion from 7:00 p.m. PDT to 10:00 p.m. PDT.

Admittance to the event is free, but space will be limited, so those who are interested in attending will have to register their interest on the game’s website; registration begins on Monday, August 12th, at 12:00 p.m. EDT on what reads like a first come, first served basis. If fans do miss that window, there will be a standby line at the venue on the day of the event to allow walk-ups as attendance and capacity allows. If you’re going to be in Seattle one way or the other, you’ve got some dates to remember.
