The Daily Grind: Would you play a player housing-only MMORPG?

A few weeks back, MOP reader Stormwaltz teased Neverness to Everness’ goofy name by proposing a new isekai-style game dubbed Adventure in Another World! Sexy Elves and Fierce Orcs Battle in the Sorcerous Mists, But I Am Chilling at My Housing Plot. And maybe he didn’t plan on it, but a bunch of people chimed in enthusiastically. Turns out several of our readers would rather play MMO Housing Online than anything else, but especially a gacha game.

In fact, I also joked that I would play Chilling at My Housing Plot, and I probably would, but I would personally rather play the whole thing he proposed. See, I don’t just want a housing game. I could go log into Skyrim or Minecraft or The Sims 4 or whatever right now and build whatever I wanted if all I wanted was a house. I want the whole thing! I want the sexy elves and fierce orcs battling in the sorcerous mists too, and I want my house to be situated in the middle of that, in a world where people are doing all those things and I can shift between those things as I feel like it.

But I do wonder – would you folks play a purely housing MMO, one that didn’t have the rest?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
