If you can’t spend your August vacationing in the real world, Lost Ark invites you to Indigo Island in Arkesia, which is live today as part of the game’s Calm Before the Storm patch. Of course, this exotic island locale isn’t just for relaxing.

“Indigo Island is located off the coast of the Kurzan Continent in the sea of Gienah,” Amazon says. “It has incredibly beautiful underwater scenery, and will open up for players at item level 1600 to explore. Indigo Island will include a quest that can be completed to access the single-player Sea Cave dungeon, which contains three paths. You can begin the Indigo Island quest and dungeon after interacting with the ‘Someone’s Voice’ quest near the island entrance. Successful completions will award Luminous Coral Stone, which can be exchanged for progression materials, including Potent Elixirs (using Silver instead of Gold) and more — so you’re definitely going to want to venture to this new island.”

Today’s update also includes the new bound gold system as a way to “reward players with Gold and help progression without negatively impacting the in-game economy,” in addition to a gold source rebalance, dailies tweaks, and new cosmetics.

Though the new style book system and Echidna raid nerfs were originally planned for this update, Amazon announced last week that both have been delayed – the raid tweaks to later this month, the style book to an undisclosed future date.
