Sure, fine, whatever, this'll do.

If you’ve got a hankering for some RTS gameplay, you want it to be free-to-play and still have a lot of development to go, and for the game to have a two-word two-syllable name? You have an odd list of requirements to satisfy your cravings. However, you also have a successful list because Stormgate is now out in free-to-play early access for everyone. There’s even a video proudly explaining how the title is available free for everyone to explore, including the new campaign missions that are the biggest new feature for players to enjoy.

Of course, looking at the game’s Steam page makes it clear that if you are hoping to get the campaign missions for free, you will be sorely disappointed; campaign missions are purchased either separately or at a reduced price through the early access packs. In fact, some of those packs include campaign missions that are not even available yet, a fact that has pushed the $60 price tag for the “ultimate” pack into “Mostly Negative” territory. Still, if what you care about is primarily co-op or skirmish gameplay, you can get that for free… although even the base game is sitting at “Mixed” reviews.
